Hi there—I’m Cathy.

Born in Los Angeles and based in Las Vegas, I create functional ceramics meant to invite intention to your mundane rituals while quietly elevating your space. Inspired by the desert—its rocky, red hillsides and the surprising abundance found within it—I embrace play in my practice, implementing different techniques, whether handbuilding or throwing on the wheel.

For years, I’ve wrestled with the idea of calling myself an artist. A title that carried both a lot of weight and stigma, especially coming from my Filipino heritage where being a nurse or a doctor was the expected path.

Perhaps I’ve always been a bit of a contrarian, but each piece I create is, in its own way, a little act of rebellion against those expectations—while simultaneously an intentional expression of love.
